Heidi has more than a decade of stakeholder relations experience in Higher Education with extensive international benchmarking at over 25 universities. She has hosted more than 100 local and international events, acting either as MC or guest speaker at Stellenbosch University’s alumni engagements and conferences. Her interest and involvement in diversity and stereotype reduction seminars started in the 1990s as a young student leader when she actively participated in student politics and public speaking. Her social integration projects to stimulate critical thinking on campus were, inter alia, funded by the Institute of Justice & Reconciliation (IJR). This personal interest inspired her later personal engagements in student leadership programmes, as mentor, and her facilitation work focusing on:
As a member of Stellenbosch University’s Advancement management team, Heidi had the opportunity to facilitate dialogue among key stakeholders and project-managed a range of local and international initiatives involving students, alumni and high net-worth individuals.
From a personal development perspective, Heidi is fascinated by the ever-evolving research field of Neuroleadership. She is passionate about contributing to the greater South African society by developing our people and streamlining our business processes, as she believes it will ultimately lead to the development of our country and a sustainable economy.
